Rafting
on Slovenian Rivers
Have you given a thought
to a sport animated get together of your group in an unspoiled
nature of Slovenia? Do you want to organize such an event
that the members of your group will retain happy and beautiful
memories
for
a long time?
Our suggestion is: Come
rafting! You will venture on a unique and totally safe event.
No, this is not just an event; it is an adventure which takes
place on some of the rapids and white water of Slovenia's
best and most beautiful rivers.
Rafting on Sava is not
demanding and that's why it is suitable for anyone,
if accompanied by a parent is suitable also for the youngest. Stag groups
specially like it to cool down and have fun after tiring stag
night in Ljubljana. More

Rafting on Soca River
Soca river (pronounced
Socha) is one of the most beautiful Slovene rivers which
was
immortalized
in the poem by Slovene poet Simon Gregorcic. We will commence
our rafting adventure just down from the enormous waterfall
of Boka (nearly 100 meters tall and 50 wide) near the town
of Bovec. The rapids in parts are classified as III to
IV
degrees of difficulty. These rapids are situated in the most
attractive part of River Soca. On the west side of the
river
valley we have Kanin mountain range and on the east we are
literally under the Mount Krn (2244 m) round which River
Soca
flows. The waves and water rolls will provide some unbridled
excitement. After about an hour and a half we conclude
in
the village of Trnovo; also known as the village of the oleanders.
If you want more thrills we can start higher upstream
- at
the village of Cezsoca - but only when the water levels are
adequate for the trip.
Rafting on Sava Bohinjka
The unique experience
of rafting down the canyon of Bohinj Sava is something you
should not miss if you are spending active holiday time in
Slovenia. From the Soteska (The Narrows) where the push off
point is for the rafting, and all the way down to the village
of Bohinjska Bela, you will be thrilled by the rapids that
vary between III and IV degree of difficulty. The second stage
of this rafting trip which finishes at the village of Ribno
is of more tranquil nature comparing to the first stage. This
stage therefore will give you ample time to take in the scenery
of the valley we travel through. The total rafting trip takes
about 2 - 3 hours to complete.
Rafting on Sava Dolinka
As you have gathered there
are two arms to the River Sava - the Bohinj Sava which starts
at the beautiful glacial Lake Bohinj and the Valley Sava which
starts at the village of Ratece near famous ski jumps centre
of Planica. The source of the Valley Sava is located only
a short distance from Slovene-Italian-Austrian border. However
the rafting section of this arm of River Sava starts from
the village Zasip near the Lake Bled. We can easily say that
this rafting trip is for just everybody. As we drift down
the river at the township of Radovljica the Bohinj Sava merges
into the main body of River Sava. After some two hours we
conclude our rafting day at the Posavec, a small place just
downstream from the convergence of the two Savas.
Rafting on Savinja
This lovely little river
is located some 60 kilometers north from Ljubljana. Its upper
reaches are a veritable white water experienced kayaker’s
paradise. At the village of Luce (pronounced Looche). Where
the Savinja widens somewhat we put on to the water in the
rafts. The river is very dynamic - there are quiet parts and
then some fast and foaming water and exciting rapids . . .
After some ninety minutes we reach the village of Ljubno where
our adventure comes to an end.
Rafting on Kolpa river
This river is located
to the east of Ljubljana and forms a natural border between
Slovenia and Croatia. The river meanders through a lovely
fertile valley, which is still part of the last vestiges of
unspoiled part of Europe. The starting part is at the village
of Osilnica. We flow down the stream on the numerous rapids
/ some of the river is on Slovene state side, some on the
Croat state side. After some 20 kilometers we reach the "Brod
na Kolpi" village, where is also the end of this rafting
event.
