River
Ljubljanica Kayak-Canoe Safari
In the mini-rafts
and kayaks we will for some two hours take leave of civilization
and take a trip down the relative wilderness of River Ljubljanica.
The meeting point is somewhere in Ljubljana - in front of
your accomodation place. From there we travel by road to
the town of Vrhnika and the
source
of
River
Ljubljanica. The appropriate equipment is distributed amongst
the participants and a brief instruction on basics of paddling
in mini-rafts and kayaks takes place. We are now ready to
take on the river. Just after a few paddle strokes we leave
the populated area of the river at Vrhnika and soon the only
sounds one hears are the sounds
of the river, our own paddles splashing
and the singing and chirping of the birdlife in the surrounding
nature. There is the rustling of the wind in the willows
which line the river's banks as well as other trees. The
2-3 hours
gentle paddling down river we reach our destination at Ljubljana.
This paddling trip is in fact suitable
for everybody; it can be a quiet yet
exciting family outing as well as a corporate team
building event.
It is suitable for a way of celebrating a birthday or it
can be a focus of a buck’s or stag party with all the
sporting excitement
this can create . . .
The trip can be crowned with a finish in a local restaurant
or with a picnic of a sort.
In short: if you are celebrating someting in Slovenia, present
your friends with a group event such as a Rafting Safari
on
Ljubljanica - it is a real thing . . .
